The Monarch, Henchman 21, Watch, and Ward, Killinger broke from their psychic standoff and finished the remaining Investor ( Caecius) by stabbing him to death with his umbrella, thus finally ending their reign of terror. Following the helpful interruption of The Monarch, Dr. Instead Killinger prevailed in killing two of the Investors ( Lips and Skiron) in a psychic duel. Henry Killinger, intending to kill him for not siding with their agenda. They purposely sabotaged the space station's controls, leading to its meltdown, before escaping to Meteor Majeure. The Investors, however, learned of The Sovereign's plans through contact with Phantom Limb and his Revenge Society. Fearing for his life, The Sovereign attempted to have the Investors killed by destroying Gargantua-2. It was also revealed that they were responsible for allowing The Sovereign to become leader of The Guild for an unspecified contract, a debt which The Sovereign was terrified of repaying. In All This and Gargantua-2, The Investors were revealed to be the financial backers of Jonas Venture Jr.'s space station Gargantua-2 and attended its grand opening. agents investigating the incident, possibly to determine if anyone knew about their involvement. They then changed their forms to appear as Mister-level O.S.I. They did this by phasing him through the wall and out of the airship, sending him plummeting to the ground. Months after saving Monstroso's life, The Investors proceeded to murder him while he was in O.S.I. The Investors quickly left when S.P.H.I.N.X. Instead of drinking his blood, they gave Billy a legitimate medical license so he could perform the heart transplant for Monstroso as a real doctor, having only operated illegally in the past. Billy was terrified at first, thinking the Investors were vampires. The Investors took the dying King Gorilla's heart and kidnapped Billy Quizboy, who was pretending to be a doctor even though he did not have a degree. The next time The Investors were shown they were working with Monstroso, who was in dire need of a new heart. The Investors first appeared in the episode Pomp and Circuitry, silently sitting on the podium behind Professor Impossible during his speech at State University. The only one with any variation in clothing is Caecius, who has what appears to be a handkerchief in his shirt pocket. They all wear pinstripe suits and pants, with white undershirts with folded down collars and black ties, and dress pants. They all speak in strange accents, like an odd mixture of Russian and German. The investors consist of 3 people: Lips, the tallest member, a slightly chubby bald man who’s constantly biting his lower lip in a disturbing smile, Caecius, who’s the shortest one with a big nose, black mustache and hair, and red spectacles, and is also typically always smiling, and Skiron, a tall skinny man with red spectacles, red and black hair, and incredibly strong pronounced facial features. Although their supernatural abilities include shapeshifting and intangibility, the Investors are far from omnipresent, being unable to enter anywhere they are not invited. Such contracts were presented as legitimate business deals but would include a hefty price-usually one's life. Venture, or The Sovereign, amassing wealth and influence through a Guild shell called General Consolidated Insurance in preparation for their eventual dominion. The Investors attempted to take over the Guild of Calamitous Intent through subterfuge and manipulation in addition to powerful psychic abilities, with a modus operandi consisting of forming contracts with key figures such as Monstroso, J. The Investors were a trio of Supervillains belonging to an unknown race of extremely powerful psychics alongside their archenemy Dr. Pomp and Circuitry (As General Consolidated Insurance) The Investors ( Lips, Caecius, and Skiron)
